KUNUNURRA GOING TO NEW LEVELS

In the far North East of Western Australia is the Kununurra Speedway Club Inc which is located in the between Broome, Western Australia and Darwin in the Northern Territory.

Club President Matt McMahon and Ben Hellsten were on hand to show us around the venue that has seen a lot of hard work done over the last 12 months to make the following improvements:

• Enlarge pit area with lighting
• Replace and realign a number of concrete wall panels
• Brand new steward box including storage facility underneath
• Upgrade of canteen
• Increased dam storage
• Replacement of gate on main straight

Future projects include replacement of gate near turn 1, installation of an ablution block on the back straight and a combined water project with the local golf club.

Their next event kicks off on the June long weekend (5th and 6th) and we wish them well for the upcoming season.
