MORE WESTERN AUSTRALIAN VENUE UPGRADES
This week has seen more great news to come out of Western Australia, with State Government election promises coming to fruition, resulting in major redevelopments at tracks across the state.
Bunbury Speedway is in the midst of a major redevelopment, courtesy of a $750,000 funding boost from a McGowan Government election promise, which will see a brand-new concrete wall and catch fence erected prior to the start of the 2021/22 season.
The Bunbury Car Club has begun the task of removing the old catch fence and concrete wall, with construction set to start in earnest.
In the State’s north, Broome Speedway have begun a number of works and upgrades to the concrete wall and track equipment thanks to Federal MP Melissa Price, who selected the club as part of her latest Community Grants scheme.
With more opportunities for funding arising in the coming weeks, WA Sport Development Officer Ross Kirby is always available to assist tracks to ensure they are ready to go when funding streams open for applications. Ross can be contacted here.
