SUCCESSFUL NATIONAL FORUM WEEKEND
Speedway Australia would like to thank the many people that were involved in the delivery of a highly successful National Forum and Safety Conference, held in conjunction with the Australian Speedway Awards last weekend.
The time and effort that Allan Ackerley and Steven Woolstencroft from Simpson Speedway put into their safety training sessions were greatly appreciated by all in attendance.
Thank you to Revolution Racegear for having representatives at the venue both days, along with supplying various items of safety equipment that were able to be utilised during the course of the weekend.
A massive shoutout to the seven car owners who donated their vehicles for the displays. Jason Duell towed his award winning Street Stock all the way from Mt Gambier, and it was a fitting centrepiece in the foyer along with the Wingless Sprint of Daniel Smith. Inside the awards venue the Sprintcar of Luke Dillon, Late Model of Matt Crimmins, Modlite of Trevor Knuckey and Junior Sedan of Chelsea Gwynne all looked amazing on display, while the Speedway Kart of Darren Bergin was able to be accommodated on the stage! Thanks to Adam (TKR?) Currie for his efforts in making it all happen!
Thank you to our diligent Safety Committee (Geoff, Damien, Wayne, Jody and Chris) who volunteered their time and were listening intently all weekend and now have to set about their safety-related tasks.
Thank you to all the Speedway Australia staff for their hardwork ensuring the weekend ran smoothly.
And finally, thank you to the 180 people who attended at least one part of the weekend, playing a hand in making it the success it was.
