Speedway Australia is proud to launch a revolutionary time saver for our venues. Our new online Permit Administration System is set to enable tracks to apply for and receive permits in a more efficient, plus accurate manner.

GETTING STARTED

You will initially be sent an invitation via email to view the new system at www.speedwayaustralia.org/permits

To login for the first time, simply use your email address and set your desired password. Hit the ‘remember me’ tickbox to remain logged in on your computer if you wish.

Finally, tap the login button to proceed.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

As a track promoter, this portal gives you the ability to lodge permit applications as required. Designed to give you flexibility week to week, simply login early in the week leading up to your next race event. To avoid the hassle of adjusting the permit category as your event line up changes, we encourage you to apply only once everything is confirmed.

APPLYING FOR A PERMIT

First, start by selecting the meeting date for your upcoming event from the calendar icon. Next, choose the duration the event will be running for from the dropdown. The short description box can be used for your own benefit to identify events easier, but doesn’t affect the permit.

You will need to select the meeting category type from the dropdown. If you’re unsure of your meeting category, reference your track operator’s manual or contact Speedway Australia. Your permit fee will automatically display and you may then hit the ‘add’ button once finished. Once you have added the event, you will be unable to edit the information. However, you can delete a permit application any time before the permit is issued.

DECLARING EXTRAS

From time to time your event will require you to notify us of extraneous activities. These are broken into two different categories – On track, or off track.

On-track extras are activities such as Monster Trucks, motocross, stunt bikes etc. Where as off-track includes things like fireworks, amusement rides or jumping castles. All non-speedway related on-track extras are also subject to a triple-A category permit fee. If you’re unsure about your extras, always contact Speedway Australia prior to an event.

RECEIVING YOUR PERMIT

Once your permit has been issued, you will receive a copy of the PDF via email, as per the current system. Alternatively, you will also now be able to download it from your permit administration portal as required.

POST EVENT

Post the event date, it will now be your duty to inform us as to the status of the permit. If your event was successfully completed you can select that option from the drop down. If not, select cancelled and the relevant reason as to why it did not go ahead.

All invoicing will now be processed post-event. This will now ensure you are only invoiced for successfully completed meetings, removing the previous double handling around cancelations.

SUPPORT

If you need support at any time with the permit administration system, please contact Speedway Australia. You can either click the permits email address at the bottom of the screen, or directly contact either Liz Weaver or Mark Holmes.

While it’s expected this system will evolve significantly over time, Speedway Australia is excited to take another step forward in reducing the complexity and commitment required for our venues operators throughout the nation.
